Chocolate City Shuffles In New Instructions
In a musical partying tradition of line dances that goes back over 50 years, the newly formed go-go band Chocolate City, fronted by songstress Michelle Blackwell, has come out with a video giving detailed instructions of their new platform to put in their claim, “The Chocolate City Shuffle”.
Now, there is no denying that the tradition of line dances go as far back from “The L.A. Hustle” to the “Bus Stop” to the “Electric Slide” to the “Booty Call”, and unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 50 years, you should already understand what a line dance is. A choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows in same direction, and executing the steps at the same time.
In regards to “The Chocolate City Shuffle”, this would mark the second line dance creation to come out of the go-go music sector since the Crossover Band came out several years ago with “The Crossover Strut”.

Rest In Paradise, Go-Go Legend Melvin “Butch” Lewis Phenomenal Drummer
Today we are saddened to learn of the passing Go-Go family member Melvin “Butch” Lewis.
Full details are not fully known at this time, but according to the Washington Post, Butch was among 5 MedStar Washington Hospital Center employees who were overcome by fumes of a freon gas used in air conditioning equipment. Although the 4 other employees were treated, Butch himself did not make it.
Butch, who has a deep history in the go-go music culture, was a phenomenal drummer for go-go bands Experience Unlimited (EU), and later Little Benny and the Masters. A good friend to many of us in the go-go comminuty, he leaves a mark and legacy that will never be forgotten. And we at TMOTTGoGo send out sincere condolences to his family as they go through this moment in time.
Arrangements and details will be given as provided.
