Rest In Heavenly Paradise, Chel’e P
We at TMOTTGoGo are saddened to hear of the passing of the culture’s own Michele L. Perry, most fondly known as “Chel’e P”.
It was only just over a year and a half ago when I did an in-depth interview session and story with Michele chronologizing her music history here in the city, as well as her plans for the future (see link of interview below).
We would like to send a prayer and condolences up, out and with the Michele’s family and friends, as we all go through moment in time.

Little Benny Day – Friday September 26
Friday (Sept 26) will be Little Benny Day on TMOTTRadio.com. And as usual, on that day TMOTTRadio will be playing nothing but Little Benny music for that entire day. This year, what we would like to do with that is (in the words of Little Benny himself) “Put a little flavor into it.”
In other words, we would like you to be part of that programming. Simply call into the TMOTTRadio Voicebox and record your stories or the things you remember and loved most about Little Benny. And on the day of Friday, September 26, we will be adding them into rotation to be played for that entire day along with Benny’s music. The number to the TMOTTRadio Voicebox line is 240-243-9555. Call in NOW and share your stories.
“99 & Kato” to Feature Local Hip Hop and Soul, Too
By DCBrand99
As TMOTTRadio explodes into live programming, listeners will get more than what they’re used to from the online go-go radio pioneers of the Take Me Out to the Go-Go crew. Listeners will also hear local hip hop, soul, and funk artists on the flagship show “99 & Kato,” set to start on Friday, September 19th.
From host, Ninety-Nine: “As community journalists, Kato and I have respectively amassed interesting collections of local music over the years. Area artists have recorded albums, EPs, various compilations, and singles that never got radio play, and for indie artists, a life circumstance can derail plans to heavily promote one’s work. So, in true TMOTTGoGo tradition, we figure out what we need from the media and we do it ourselves.

In late 2011, Chuck Brown began recording what is now his final musical gift to his fans: Beautiful Life. It was a reflective period for the Godfather of Go Go as he looked back on his incredible journey and the peaks and valleys of his life, never forgetting where he came from and never taking a day or a fan for granted. There will never be another Chuck Brown, but this is your chance to own the final Chuck Brown album, containing new songs by Chuck, and 3 new songs by the amazing Chuck Brown Band, who continue to carry the torch, and with their contributions to this album, shine a bright light for the future of the Go-Go groove and funky beat that Chuck created.
This is some of his of most accomplished work to date, including special guest appearances by Wale, Faith Evans, Raheem DeVaughn, Sugar Bear and others . His fans meant the world to Chuck and that is why we’ve invited you here: to be a special part of Chuck’s final release of new material.
