The TMOTTRadio Indiegogo Campaign Project
For the past two years, the TMOTTGoGo Internet Radio Station (TMOTTRadio) has been running all of its programs pre-recorded. As wonderful as this is, what has been missing is our ability to communicate in real-time with our listening audience… giving them the ability in share in dialog and communication. We understand that the continued growth of this musical culture relies a lot on audience participation. This means that in order to achieve that, we must go LIVE!
Wishing You A Peaceful Journey, Polo!
As we are learning today of the passing of one Reggie “Polo” Burwell, we would like to send our sincere prayers and condolences up and out to the family, friends, and entire Go-Go family.
As with the Godfather himself Chuck Brown, Polo, with his band TCB, ushered in a new sound to a generation in this culture that will forever be stamped with his name as the Bounce Beat King.
A humbled man who was passionate about his love for Go-Go its culture, Polo fought a long good fight. And although we wanted him to remain here, God needed home. And I can feel the words as God whispers, “Well done, they good faithful servant.”

Rest In Paradise, Sugar Foot Ricky
We are sadden to report this morning that passing of Legendary drummer “Sugar Foot” Ricky Wellman. Ricky, who trail-blazed the drums and go-go sound in this industry, lost his battle to cancer.
Many no doubt, know, love, and remember Ricky as one of (if not the most) phenomenal drummers to come through this music industry… through the years with such groups as Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers, Experience Unlimited, Miles Davis, Maiesha & The Hiphuggers, and many others. As a matter of fact, Ricky is the drummer playing on Chuck’s “Bustin Loose” hit. Not to mention that he has inspired generations of drummers who came up behind him.
Without a doubt, Ricky will be truly missed, but through the music that he has given us, his presence will forever be known and ring on in Go-Go… as a matter of fact, in music general!
We would like to take this time and send our condolences and prayers up and out to the Wellman family!

Chocolate City Shuffles In New Instructions
In a musical partying tradition of line dances that goes back over 50 years, the newly formed go-go band Chocolate City, fronted by songstress Michelle Blackwell, has come out with a video giving detailed instructions of their new platform to put in their claim, “The Chocolate City Shuffle”.
Now, there is no denying that the tradition of line dances go as far back from “The L.A. Hustle” to the “Bus Stop” to the “Electric Slide” to the “Booty Call”, and unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 50 years, you should already understand what a line dance is. A choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows in same direction, and executing the steps at the same time.
In regards to “The Chocolate City Shuffle”, this would mark the second line dance creation to come out of the go-go music sector since the Crossover Band came out several years ago with “The Crossover Strut”.

Rest In Paradise, Go-Go Legend Melvin “Butch” Lewis Phenomenal Drummer
Today we are saddened to learn of the passing Go-Go family member Melvin “Butch” Lewis.
Full details are not fully known at this time, but according to the Washington Post, Butch was among 5 MedStar Washington Hospital Center employees who were overcome by fumes of a freon gas used in air conditioning equipment. Although the 4 other employees were treated, Butch himself did not make it.
Butch, who has a deep history in the go-go music culture, was a phenomenal drummer for go-go bands Experience Unlimited (EU), and later Little Benny and the Masters. A good friend to many of us in the go-go comminuty, he leaves a mark and legacy that will never be forgotten. And we at TMOTTGoGo send out sincere condolences to his family as they go through this moment in time.
Arrangements and details will be given as provided.
